Belize destination weddings are so incredible because of the unmatched, breathtaking venues throughout the nation. You can say ‘I do’ on a pristine beach, next to a cascading waterfall, in the middle of a rainforest, or at a magical Mayan temple.

If a beach wedding is your dream, you can turn that into a reality in Belize! I’m talking an idyllic ceremony overlooking the picturesque Caribbean Sea. Whether you want a secluded, intimate wedding or to share your special moment at a popular beach, the opportunities are endless.
The most iconic beach wedding destination in Belize is Ambergris Caye, Belize’s largest island and a popular vacation spot.
Other beautiful islands perfect for an elopement are South Water Caye, Caye Caulker, and the private island of St. George’s Caye.
If you’re looking to get adventurous, you can make your way to a waterfall for your Belize wedding. Talk about an amazing backdrop!
Big Rock Falls is a popular, picturesque gem with a 150-foot waterfall if you’re up for a hike.
Butterfly Falls is another gem that’s surrounded by lush rainforests. To access this private waterfall, you’d have to stay at Hidden Valley Inn.
While these are just a couple of the best waterfall destinations for eloping in Belize, Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve features several others.

Think boardwalks, peaceful sounds, colorful flora, and flowing rivers. In southern Belize, Moho River is an amazing rainforest river. For a mix of adventure and wildlife, say your vows at Mayflower Bocawina National Park amidst the tropical rainforest.
No matter where you want to have your Belize wedding, there are gorgeous rainforests sites throughout the country.
Belize is one of the only places that allows wedding ceremonies at Maya sites, which you can find many of. These offer a unique and fascinating backdrop.

If I’m being honest, Belize destination weddings are incredible year-round! The temperature itself is warm all year, with highs usually in the 80s and lows usually in the low to mid-70s. With that said, there are various factors to consider when planning your Belize elopement.
Belize is considered to have two seasons: the dry season and the rainy season. The dry season is from February to May. The rainy season is from June through January but slightly less rainy from November through January.
Different parts of Belize will affect the weather, too. Southern Belize gets the most rainfall during the rainy season, while other areas may only see rain once or twice a week.
In terms of affordability, you may also want to consider that the peak season (late November – mid-April) brings in a lot of tourists so prices are higher.
I recommend May or early November to have a Belize wedding with the fewest crowds and the best possible weather. But, again, Belize is magical no matter when you choose to elope!
Let’s be honest – planning the perfect elopement isn’t a simple task! There’s picking the destination and venue, sorting out legal aspects, choosing your vendors, and finding the perfect photographer to capture your big day.

Not only is Belize a magical wedding destination, but it’s also an amazing honeymoon spot! There is so much to see and do, there’s a good chance you’ll never want to leave.
Most Belize visitors flock to the Cayo District for its adventure, culture, and beauty. It’s the largest district in the country and boasts tropical forests, flowing rivers, and Mayan ruins. You can also find shopping and dining in the charming town of San Ignacio.
Not only is this small, tranquil island perfect for an elopement ceremony, but it’s also a great stop during your Belize vacation. Whether you’re looking for water adventures or relaxation, you can find it on Caye Caulker. You can enjoy snorkeling, fishing, sailing, kayaking, and scuba diving.
For a unique experience, you’ll want to visit the Great Blue Hole. This large underwater sinkhole is a UNESCO World Heritage Site off the coast of Belize. It’s a beautiful area with crystal-clear waters and diverse marine life. The Great Blue Hole is definitely a treasure if you’re into scuba diving!
Again, another great Belize wedding destination, you should definitely check out a couple of Mayan sites! The best part is this is incredibly easy to do with 600 scattered throughout the country. Go on an adventure through jungles and caves as you explore the history and beauty of Mayan ruins.
Cave tubing is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Belize, and for great reason. It’s a ton of fun and unlike any other experience! You get to kick back in a tube and float through unique caves. There are tons of opportunities throughout Belize for cave tubing.
