Choosing a venue is one of the biggest decisions of your small wedding or elopement. It sets the vibe of the day, and most of your other choices (flowers, outfit, decor, etc.) will revolve around the type of venue you pick.
So, where do you even begin?
Maybe you know you don’t want a ‘ballroom wedding’ (what is this, 2004?!) but aren’t entirely sure what you do want. And I don’t blame you…there are SO many options these days! Barns, breweries, fields, mountaintops, desert, the list goes on.
Having your wedding on a boat checks all the boxes:
Talk about a low stress, perfectly you elopement!
Picture this:
You rent a house near the dock to get ready at. Your partner is standing on the bow (*Googles ‘word for front of boat’ one time and now feels like a boat lingo expert*) and watches you walk down the dock. You climb aboard the ship and walk down the aisle to your partner. The boat departs into the setting sun, where you two exchange vows and commit your lives to one another. You pop champagne to celebrate, and watch the sunset behind the horizon.
*I’m not crying, you’re crying!!*
And you can do it whether you decide to get married nearby or travel across the world! Some amazing locations for a wedding on a boat would be:
Planning + Floral: Chris Company Wi
Venue: Sail Door County
Dress: Tiffani’s Bridal Appleton
Makeup: Taylor Dawn Makeup
